“I am the ship hand, I am Ahab, tied to both his ship and his whale. I am also the whale in my life, sometimes I breach and I can be seen, but more often than not I’m under the surface, alone, unseen, unknown to the other characters in my story; swimming, slowly, in the sea of infinite time and space, emitting as I go my particular whale song to be carried by and filling the oceanic vessel we travel with . . . . “
